Introduction

Durlock Lodge is an 18th century listed house with three en-suite guest rooms that also offers self catering in a Studio and a Cottage that was formerly a stables.
The nature of these old buildings, unfortunately make access difficult for those with limited mobility.


Pre-Arrival

• Please advise us of your approximate time of arrival (after 3 pm unless by arrangement) so that we can be sure to welcome you.

• Within five minutes walk you will find the Railway Station ,Bus Stop, an 18th Century Pub Two restaurants a Church and an Abbey.

• 10 minutes walk and there is a small supermarket,2 Pubs 3 Restaurants a Vets and a range of shops.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

• There is a gravel drive visible from the road available for parking.

Main Entrance & Reception

• Please ring bell on arrival

• There are three 9 inch steps down into the reception area.

• We are happy to offer assistance with luggage.

Public Areas - General (Internal)

• There are twenty steps up to the first floor where the guest rooms are.

• The Studio has three 9 inch steps and a narrow entrance way which makes it unsuitable for wheelchairs.

• The Cottage has one step of 9 inches for access to the kitchen and dining areas but the bathroom and bed rooms are on the first floor (20 steps).

Public Areas - WC

• There are no public areas for the guest rooms.

• The Studio and the Cottage have small enclosed pet friendly gardens.

Restaurant / Dining Room, Bar & Lounges, Take Away & Cafe

• Durlock Lodge provides a complimentary self service continental breakfasts for those staying in the guest rooms.

• There is an excellent choice of Pubs & Restaurants within a 5/10 minute walk.

Laundry

• Should you require laundry facilities please enquire on arrival

Shop

• Shops are within a 10 minute walk or for major supermarkets Ramsgate and Westwood are a 15 minute drive.

Leisure Facilities

• Not Available.

Outdoor Facilities

• Public footpaths and cycle trails from outside your door. Beaches Swimming pools and sports centres approximately 15 minutes by car/train.

Conference & Meeting Rooms, Banqueting, Clubs, Entertainment

• Not Available.

Bedrooms

• All guest rooms are on the first floor and have en suite facilities.

• The Studio hs a double bed and bathroom on the ground floor but is too narrow for wheelchair access

• The Cottage has a double bed room and a twin bedded room on the first floor.

Bathroom, Shower-room & WC [Ensuite or Shared]

• All guest rooms are en suite and on the first floor.

• The studio has a shower & WC on the ground floor.

• The Cottage has a bath with thermostatic shower, WC etc on the first floor

Self-Catering Kitchen

• The Studio has a small kitchen with oven/grill hob microwave, fridge with small freezing compartment and a range of cooking utensils.

• The Cottage has an oven/grill, hob fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and a good range of cooking utensils

Grounds and Gardens

• The Cottage and the Studio have their own private gardens with countryside views.

• The gardens are not generally available for guests staying in the guest rooms

Additional Information

• Fire alarms are situated outside guest rooms and emergency lighting is provided.

• In the event of a fire we will check guests are aware and evacuate to ground floor car park.

• Dogs are welcome.

• Refrigeration is available for medicines.

• The Cottage has an integrated fire alarm system.

• The Studio has a smoke alarm.
